The usual work is drains, flashings at mechanical units and planned replacements. We find where the water gets in, fix that spot and tell you how much life the rest of the roof has. When a roof is past repair, we [replace it](https://flat-roof-repair.ca/services/flat-roof-replacement/) with EPDM, TPO, PVC or modified bitumen, and fix the [drainage](https://flat-roof-repair.ca/services/roof-drains-and-scuppers/) so water does not sit on the new membrane. Owners and property managers also book [inspections](https://flat-roof-repair.ca/services/flat-roof-inspection/) and [maintenance visits](https://flat-roof-repair.ca/services/flat-roof-maintenance/). ## From London East to Masonville and Oakridge London absorbed its neighbours over time: London West in 1897, London East, an industrial centre, in 1885, and London South, with Wortley Village, in 1890. Annexations in 1961 added Masonville and Byron, and later subdivisions such as Westmount, Oakridge, White Oaks and Stoneybrook were built around them. Western University was founded in 1924. Census data shows about 52% of homes were built before 1981. So there are several different roofs in one city. In London West and around Wortley Village, small workers' houses and cottages often have flat-roofed kitchen or rear additions. London East carried factories and warehouses with big flat roofs. Western University, Fanshawe College and the large hospitals have extensive low-slope roofs on institutional buildings. The newer suburbs include townhouse and apartment blocks with membrane roofs, and about 32% of dwellings in the city are in apartment buildings, which means many shared roofs. ## London weather and your flat roof Ontario's Building Code sets the climate values used to design roofs in each municipality.
